Enjoying the Sunshine in Western Washington

A poem about how people in Western Washington can and do enjoy the sunshine even the liquid kind, also known as rain.

The clouds part
The rays pop through
The coats come off
More people smile
The sun is shining in Western Washington
The sun is actually shining
Pants are traded for shorts
Cars are washed
Gardens are weeded
The unprepared get a sunburn
The sun is shining in Western Washington
The sun is actually shining
The darker clouds roll back in
The air grows colder
Frowns begin to appear
Potential rolling thunder
The sun is no longer shining in Western Washington
The liquid sunshine is back
It is raining in Western Washington
It is raining again in Western Washington
Whether rays of sun or liquid sunshine
Western Washington sees it all
